IT Minister outlines digital economy roadmap for upcoming government
Dr. Umar Saif says the country can generate billions of dollars in revenue if the next government continues the initiatives taken by the caretaker government in the IT sector.
Islamabad: Caretaker Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr. Umar Saif has said that a roadmap has been made for promotion of the digital economy for next government.
Addressing a meeting in Karachi he said, the country can generate billions of dollars in revenue if the next government continues the initiatives taken by the caretaker government in the IT sector.
He said the SIFC forum has proven to be a great support for the upcoming elected government in the process of developing the country. He said that in the past 60 days, the policies of the IT ministry have led to a record 32% increase in IT exports.
