The Election Commission accepted the appeal and issued recount orders on both constituencies.
Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday ordered recount of votes in NA-49 and NA-50 in Attock.
According to the details, a hearing was held on the application of independent candidate Tahir Sadiq from NA-49 and Iman Tahir from NA-50 in ECP. The Election Commission accepted the appeal and issued recount orders on both constituencies.
On the other hand, a hearing was held in the Election Commission on the application of independent candidate Ayaz Amir from NA-58 Chakwal during which the lawyer told the commission that they have Form-45 and according to that they have won. As per Form-45, the result of all the polling stations has been submitted.
Member Commission inquired if their point is RO did not prepare Form-47 as per Form-45. RO did not inform you even when Form-47 was being prepared? Lawyer Ayaz Amir said that this is exactly what happened.
Election Commission issued notice to RO NA-58 Chakwal, saying that they will look into the matter after the response of RO.
