LHC asks ECP’s arguments against victory of Aleem Khan
The applicant’s lawyer further said that he has given an application to Returning officer (RO) but no action has been taken against him.
Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has asked Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) arguments against the victory of Istehkam Pakistan Party’s (IPP) candidate Abdul Aleem Khan in NA-117 on a plea.
According to the details, Justice Baqir Ali Najfi has heard the plea on this case.
The applicant’s lawyer stated that Abdul Aleem has got victory from NA-117 in Form-47 while he was failed according to the results of Form-45. ECP has not done its duty in a good manner.
On the other hand, the applicant’s lawyer further said that he has given an application to Returning officer (RO) but no action has been taken against him. It is requested from court that to cancel the notification of Aleem Khan’s victory.
Moreover, LHC has asked for further arguments from ECP on the applicant’s request.
