PM to launch work on Rashakai SEZ today
Peshawar: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Naushehra on Friday (today) to perform ground-breaking of Rashkai Special Economic Zone (SEZ), being developed under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Reportedly, more than one thousand acres of land has been acquired for the construction of special economic zone which will boost trade and economic activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
The project will create about three hundred thousand direct and indirect job opportunities for the people.
Different industries including textile, Information Technology, energy and industrial units of food processing sector will be set up in Rashakai Economic Zone.
The initiative had attracted an investment of $128 million (Chinese investment).
Moreover, 10 megawatts electricity had already been supplied to the project and that work on grid station and transmission lines would be completed within the deadline.
