The sources say that Pevez Khattak has stepped down from his office after miserable defeat in the recently held general elections.

Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTI-P) Chief Pervez Khattak resigned from his post.
Pervez Khattak resignation came after miserable defeat in the recent held general elections. According to the sources, Pervez Khattak decided to step down and handed over the party’s responsibilities to others.
Not just Khattak but other party leaders including former KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also faced defeat in the general elections.
Earlier the reports emerged that the close relatives of Pervez Khattak also could not win the elections.
It may be mentioned here that PTI emerged as the main political party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the general elections despite many bars and challenges in its way. After massive victory in the KP, the PTI top leadership decided to form the government, and Ali Amin Gandapur was nominated for the slot of KP chief minister.
