Court extends interim bail of Sheikh Rashid in case of accusing Zardari
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed requested to adjourn the hearing of the till after Ramadan.
Islamabad: District and Sessions Court Islamabad Saturday extended the interim bail of Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in the case registered in Abpara police station against him.
According to the details, Judicial Magistrate Dr. Sohail Thahim heard the case and Sheikh Rashid appeared in the court along with his lawyers Sardar Shehbaz and others.
During the hearing, the judge inquired if Sheikh has reached and how is his health. On which the head of AML said that he has arrived and is not in good health.
The judge inquired if there are going to be arguments in this case. On which lawyer Sardar Shehbaz said that the senior council Sardar Abul Razzaq has to give arguments, but he is busy in the High Court election, they will give arguments in the next hearing.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed requested to adjourn the hearing of the till after Ramadan.
Later, Judicial Magistrate Dr. Sohail Thahim extended Sheikh Rashid Ahmed's interim bail while calling for arguments at the next hearing.
It is pertinent to note that AML chief Sheikh Rashid had accused former President Asif Ali Zardari of murdering Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan. On which a case was registered against him in Abpara police station.
After the hearing, the former federal minister also spoke briefly to the media.
On this occasion, the journalist asked, what will you say about the fact that you have lost the election? To which Sheikh said that he has lost.
The journalist asked whether the elections were free and fair, to which the head of Awami Muslim League replied that media knows everything.
