Islamabad: The presidential elections in the country are likely to be held on March 9, reportedly.
According to the media reports, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will also issue a regular schedule regarding the presidential election to be held on March 9.
It is pertinent to note that the five-year constitutional term of President Dr. Arif Alvi has ended on September 8, 2023. However, due to the caretaker setup in the country, Arif Alvi continued to carry out the duties of the President of Pakistan and according to the constitution, he will at the position of President for one month after the election.
