It is pertinent to note that the five-year constitutional term of President Dr. Arif Alvi has ended on September 8, 2023. However, due to the caretaker setup in the country, Arif Alvi continued to carry out the duties of the President of Pakistan and according to the constitution, he will at the position of President for one month after the election.
