Fire kills 12, injures several in residential building of China
The fire was brought under control around 6:00am with the help of 25 fire tenders.
Nanjing: In a tragic incident, 15 people died and several sustained the injuries in a fire that took place in a residential building in the Chinese city of Nanjing on Friday.
According to the preliminary investigation of the incident, Chinese authorities said that the fire broke out on the first floor of a residential building in the Yuhuatai District of Nanjing City, where electric bikes were stored.
The fire was brought under control around 6:00am with the help of 25 fire tenders and all rescue operations were completed by 2:00pm, officials said.
According to the authorities, 44 people were immediately transferred to the hospital for medical assistance, out of which the condition of one person is critical.
