Multan: In a captivating showdown on Sunday, the Multan Sultans emerged victorious against the Quetta Gladiators in the 11th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9.

Initially, the Sultans set a challenging target of 181 runs. However, the Gladiators struggled to stabilize their innings, losing wickets consistently and managing only 167 runs in their pursuit. Battling through adversity, the Gladiators lost nine wickets during their chase.

The Sultans' bowlers delivered a stellar performance, creating significant hurdles for the Gladiators' batsmen throughout the match. Despite the challenges, Khawaja Nafay of the Gladiators emerged as the top scorer, accumulating 36 runs from 31 balls.

For Sultans, Reeza Hendricks showcased an outstanding performance, scoring 74 runs off 47 balls, steering his team into a strong position.

Supporting him, Mohammad Rizwan contributed 51 runs from 42 balls while Tayab Tahir remained unbeaten with 35 runs. The Sultans concluded their innings at 180 for four wickets.

In response, the Quetta Gladiators encountered the bowling prowess of Mohammad Amir, who clinched two crucial wickets conceding 46 runs. Akeel Hosein and Abrar Ahmed also managed to take one wicket each, striving to contain Multan's aggressive batting display.
