Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the cost of electricity by Rs 7.5 per unit for a month.
NEPRA has issued a power price increase notification, according to which the price of electricity has been hiked due to the January fuel price adjustment.
The NEPRA notification states that the increase will be charged in March bills.
The consumers will have an additional burden of 66 billion rupees including GST while the increase in electricity price will not be applicable to the K-Electric consumers.
