Using mobiles in classrooms banned in KP schools
The letter stated that the school head will collect mobile phones from all the faculty members in the morning.
Peshawar: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has banned the use of mobile phones in classrooms during school hours.
The Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education has sent a letter to all District Education Officers asking them to issue instructions to all heads of educational institutions that the use of mobile phones in classrooms is prohibited. The ban has been inposed on all teaching, non-teaching staff and students also.
The letter stated that the school head will collect mobile phones from all the faculty members in the morning which will be given back to them once the school hours are over. However, the staff will be able to use the landline number in case of emergency.
It was also stated in the notification that the adverse effects of of mobile phones on teaching process were observed. It also imposed ban of capturing any photo or filming any video in the school premises without the permission of the concerned authortities.
