It was consecutive sixth loss to Lahore Qalandars since Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9 started on February 17 at Gaddafi Stadium.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Multan Sultans set an imposing target of 215 runs for Lahore Qalandars. Usman Khan's stellar performance led the charge with a brilliant 96 off 55 balls, ably supported by Reeza Hendricks and Iftikhar Ahmed, who contributed 40 runs each. Despite Shaheen Afridi's commendable effort, taking two wickets, Lahore Qalandars' bowling unit struggled, conceding 214 runs with little success from other bowlers.
In response, Lahore Qalandars faltered in their chase, managing only 154 runs as their batters failed to establish substantial partnerships. Sahibzada Farhan emerged as the top scorer with 31 runs, while Usama Mir proved to be a formidable challenge for the Qalandars.
