Pakistani short film 'Jamun Ka Dharakht' wins Cannes World Film Festival
Adnan Siddiqui, the popular actor of Pakistan showbiz, played a negative role in 'Jamun Ka Dharakht'.
Karachi: The Pakistani short film 'Jamun ka Darakht' directed by Rafay Rashdi won the Best Social Justice Short Film category at the Cannes World Film Festival.
Rafay Rashdi, who announced this victory on social media platforms, congratulated the cast and crew of the film.

It is pertrinent to note that France's Cannes Festival is bigger than this festival, while the 'Cannes World Film Festival' organized in France itself also shows short films including web series and feature films from around the world.
The trailer of this short film was released last month in January.

The trailer of the film doesn't reveal much about the story, but the director shared the trailer telling his followers in an Instagram post that the story of the short film revolves around the relationship between a man and a woman and their 'mutual consent'.
The story of the film is written by renowned playwright Bi Gull and produced by Faisal Kapadia. 'Jamun Ka Dharakht' has been released under the banner of Rafay Rashdi Productions.
