According to the details, as for speaker Babar Saleem Swati has been nominated by the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) and as for deputy speaker candidate Suraiya Bibi has been nominated.


Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Babar Saleem Swat of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has elected as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) assembly speaker. He got 89 votes from assembly.
According to the details, as for speaker Babar Saleem Swati has been nominated by the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) and as for deputy speaker candidate Suraiya Bibi has been nominated.
However, Suraiya Bibi has casted her first vote for the national assembly's speaker and deputy speaker's elections.
On the other hand, from opposition’s side nominated candidate for speaker is Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Ihsanullah Mian Khail whereas nominated candidate for deputy speaker is Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Arbab Waseem.
It should be noted that the polling process continued in KP's assembly for speaker and deputy speaker’s elections.
