Peshawar: The voting for the election of the new Chief Minister in the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be held today (Friday).
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader nominated Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will face Dr. Ibadullah Khan of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Babar Saleem Swati of the PTI-backed Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) was elected as the new speaker of the provincial assembly and Suraiya Bibi as the deputy speaker.
The Balochistan Assembly will elect its leader and the new chief minister of the province on Saturday.
Nomination papers for the post of Chief Minister will be received by 5:00pm today.
In the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Achakzai of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has been elected unopposed as Speaker and Ghazala Gola of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has been elected as Deputy Speaker unopposed.
