Islamabad: Akbar S. Babar has decided to challenge the intra-party elections of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Talking to a private news channel, Akbar S. Babar said that he will challenge the intra-party election in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on March 5. The intra-party election of those demanding transparent election is a new dark chapter in history.
He stated that 940 out of 850,000 PTI members voted in the latest intra party elections which 0.11% of the total members. Tell me how to accept this fraud in the name of intra-party election.
It is pertinent to note that yesterday the Chief Election Commissioner of PTI Rauf Hassan announced the results of the intra-party election.
During the press conference in Islamabad, Rauf Hassan said that in the intra-party election, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has been elected as the chairman and Umar Ayub as the secretary-general.
Rauf Hasan stated that there is an agreement with the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) that the parliamentary party will rejoin the PTI once the election symbol is returned.
