New spell of rains to hit Balochistan today
A new spell of rain has been predicted in Balochistan from this evening, in view of which an alert has been issued.
Quetta: A new spell of rains has been predicted in Balochistan from today evening in which 16 districts of the province including Gwadar are likely to be affected.
Rain and snowfall continue intermittently in the upper regions of the country. Due to landslides, the Karakoram Highway, which was closed for three days in Lower Kohistan in Chilas, was closed again after being restored for some time.
Normal life was severely affected due to the blowing of snowy winds in the northern areas of Balochistan.
A new spell of rain has been predicted in Balochistan from this evening, in view of which an alert has been issued.
On the other hand, there is still water in several areas after the devastating rains in Gwadar. There is a fear of disease spreading in the neighborhoods affected by the continuous standing water.
Director General (DG) Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Balochistan Jahanzeb Khan has claimed that water has been removed from more than 85 percent of the city and said that the local administration, Pakistan Army and other agencies played an active role in the relief activities.
While, the severe cold wave in Sindh is likely to decline from March 6, the temperature is expected to go up to 30 degrees Celsius from Friday.
