Trump was disqualified from being a presidential candidate due to his involvement in the attack on Capitol Hill.

Colorado: The United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of former President Donald Trump and declared him eligible for election.
The US Supreme Court has given a very important constitutional decision in favor of Donald Trump, according to which the US states cannot prevent Donald Trump from becoming a presidential candidate, thus a major obstacle in Trump's way to participate in the presidential election in November has been removed.
It is pertinent to note that Trump is the top candidate for the presidential nomination from the Republican Party.
All of the Supreme Court justices have unanimously rejected the decision of the state of Colorado, which prevented Trump from participating in the Republican Party's state election.
On December 20, 2023, the state of Colorado banned Trump from running in the state election for his Republican party. The election is to be held today, March 5, 2024, in which the Republicans of Colorado will now decide whether Trump will be their party's candidate for the next presidential election or not.
Trump was disqualified from being a presidential candidate due to his involvement in the attack on Capitol Hill.
The US Constitution's Anti-Sedition Clause was invoked to ban Trump from the election, but the Supreme Court's ruling said that only the US Congress could apply that clause, not individual states using Article-III of the 14th Amendment.
However, the Supreme Court decision did not say whether Donald Trump's role in the Capitol Hill attack was treasonous or not.
This decision of the US Supreme Court will also apply to the three states.
Expressing happiness over the decision of the US Supreme Court, Donald Trump said that it is a victory for America.
Donald Trump also released an e-mail message immediately after that, in which he appealed to his supporters for donations for the election campaign.
