In the petition, it was requested that contempt of court action be taken against the jail superintendent for disobeying the court orders.


Islamabad: A petition for contempt of court was filed against the superintendent of Adiala jail for not allowing meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
According to the details, Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimeen (MWM) Chairman Allama Raja Nasir Abbas filed the petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC). Vice Chairman Allama Syed Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi and In-charge Political Affairs Asad Abbas Shah are also among the petitioners.
It was said in the petition that they went to Adiala Jail with the court order, but the PTI founder was allowed to meet them.
In the petition filed, the stand was taken that despite being asked to wait from 9:00am to 4:00pm on March 11, the meeting was not granted. Despite showing the certified copy of the court orders, the petitioners were not allowed to meet.
In the petition, it was requested that contempt of court action be taken against the jail superintendent for disobeying the court orders.
