Maryam Nawaz directs to compile data of laborers in Punjab
She stated that it is her determination to provide the workers with their own house and shelter.
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed to compile comprehensive data of laborers and workers across the province.
A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in which proposals to issue registration cards to provide social security facilities to daily wage laborers and labor laws implemented in Punjab were also reviewed in the meeting.
Maryam Nawaz ordered the establishment of a world-class lab to identify the risk sector to ensure the safety of workers, while also directing to start the Eco-Professional Safety and Health Mobile Lab project to ensure the safety of workers.
The Chief Minister of Punjab also directed to make effective legislation for the protection of motorcycle riding youth who provide rider service, while she also ordered to complete the projects of labor colonies in Sundar and Taxila soon.
Speaking during the meeting, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz said that labor colonies will be established for workers and laborers. Labor complexes will be built in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park Sheikhupura and Rawalpindi, 1400 workers and 800 labor families will be provided accommodation in Sheikhupura and Rawalpindi.
She stated that it is her determination to provide the workers with their own house and shelter, labor colonies will be built in stages across the province, safety measures will be implemented to protect the workers in the factories.
