Judge M. Bashir of Accountability Court retires
Retired Judge Muhammad Bashir had sentenced Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana case.
Islamabad: Accountability Court judge Muhammad Bashir, who sentenced two former prime ministers, has retired from his post today (Thursday).
Judge Muhammad Bashir was appointed to the Accountability Court on March 13, 2012. He retired today after serving as the Court Judge for 12 years.
Retired Judge Muhammad Bashir sentenced former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and retired Captain Safdar. Moreover, he also sentenced Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana case.
Cases against President Asif Ali Zardari were also under hearing before Judge Muhammad Bashir.
Accountability Court judge Bashir also heard the cases against former prime ministers Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Raja Parvez Ashraf and Yusuf Raza Gilani.
It is pertinent to note that Judge Muhammad Bashir had taken medical leave after pronouncing the verdict in the Tosha Khana case against Imran Khan.
