The Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned the federal government’s lawyer on blocking the social media application ‘X’.

Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned the federal government’s lawyer on blocking the social media application ‘X’.
According to the details, justice Shahid Bilal Hassan heard the case on the plea of a citizen Hafiz Shakir Mehmood. In this plea federal government and others are included.
Court stated that we will decide to issue notice on hearing the federal government’s lawyer point of view regarding that case and called him in person.
The applicant said that blocking the ‘X’ is like to snatch the basic right of freedom of expressions and constitutionally the basic right cannot be grabbed from any citizen.
