She added that some people are going to be released today, some prisoners will be released after completing their sentences in the coming days.


Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz visited Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore and talked to the women prisoners. On this occasion, she said that they are providing video call facility to the prisoners in Punjab jails.
During the visit of Kot Lakhpat Jail, Maryam Nawaz stated that along with her father, she endured the hardships of imprisonment in the jail.
She added that some people are going to be released today, some prisoners will be released after completing their sentences in the coming days.
The Chief Minister continued to say that she will try his best to improve the system of prisons, she has reviewed the Suhoor and Iftar given to the prisoners.
Maryam Nawaz further said that it was satisfying to see the prisoners talking to their families on video call, planning some programs for the reformation of the prisoners.
Chief Minister's Notice
The Chief Minister took notice of the incident of the death of a sewerman while cleaning the sewers in Faisalabad. Maryam Nawaz Sharif sought a report from Commissioner Faisalabad.
She expressed her condolences to the bereaved families, saying that it is very sad that a sewer man met with a tragic accident while on duty.
