Cabinet imposes ban to stay in five-star hotels for officials
President and chief justice will travel in first class along with all the facilities.
Islamabad: The cabinet division has inaugurated austerity policy in which government officers have been directed to travel abroad for inevitable reasons.
According to the details, under this policy a ban has been imposed to stay in five-star hotels during the tours of foreign countries of the government officers.
Federal ministers, minister state, advisor, assistants, secretaries, additional secretaries and incharge divisions’ official tours will be approved with the condition of prime minister.
Those officers who have grade 20 or more higher than that and three members’ delegation will be taking permission from the concerned minister.
All the details of the foreign countries’ tours will be providing to foreign affairs on mandatory basis. Secretary and minister cannot go for foreign countries’ tours at a same time.
In foreign countries conferences, the embassy’s officers will be attending such conferences. Minister of foreign affairs and trade minister exempted from any ban like that.
President and chief justice will travel in first class along with all the facilities. Other minister will also travel in business class.
