WhatsApp unveils feature of pinning three messages in chat
It is perfect for users to quickly access any important information without having to scroll through the chat.
California: WhatsApp has introduced the feature of pinning more than one message in chats.
The feature to Pin Messages was introduced by WhatsApp in December 2023. Under which it was possible to pin a message in a chat.
But now this feature has been further improved after which users will be able to pin up to three messages in any chat.
The feature was announced by Meta Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg in a WhatsApp channel.
In this regard, the statement released by WhatsApp said that now users will be able to pin all kinds of messages like images, videos, voice notes and polls along with text.
This feature will work in individual chats as well as group chats. But in group chats the admin will have the option to allow the members to use this feature or not.
It is perfect for users to quickly access any important information without having to scroll through the chat.
Notably, messages can only be pinned for a limited time. When you pin a message you have to choose between 24 hours, 7 days and 1 month options.
How to pin messages?
The process of pinning a message is quite simple.
For this, long press on the message you want to pin inside the chat and then select the pin option.
Note that along with messages, you can also pin three chats.
Pinned chats appear at the top of WhatsApp's home feed.
