Karachi: Three international flights of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) in a day were grounded at alternative airports citing bad weather, reportedly.

According to media reports, aviation officials told that PIA flight PK-246 from Dammam to Islamabad was supposed to land at Islamabad International Airport at 5:00am today, but the destination of this flight was suddenly changed and it landed at Allama Iqbal Airport, Lahore. Similarly, PIA flight PK-184 from Dubai to Peshawar was diverted and landed in Islamabad at 3:00pm.

Last evening something similar was happened to PIA flight PK-742 from Jeddah to Islamabad which was suddenly diverted from the route to Karachi.

The reason for the transfer of this Boeing 777 aircraft to Karachi is said to be a technical problem, however, the spokesperson of PIA stated that the flight was diverted due to bad weather in Islamabad.

According to aviation authorities, the flight operations at the respective country's airports remained normal during the last 24 hours and no other airline's flights faced any problem in landing or take-off. reportedly.

Around 1000 passengers had to face difficulties due to the change of travel destinations and their loved ones who reached the airports to pick them up had to face loss.

The problem of the citizens due to the sudden transfer of these national airline flights to other airports can be estimated from the fact that hundreds of citizens reached the airport to pick up their loved ones only to find that they had landed in another city.

It is also reported that these passengers are being transported to their destination by alternative means.
