It is pleaded in the petition from the court to act against speaker and deputy speaker of KP assembly.


Peshawar: The Peshawar high court (PHC) has issued notices to speaker and deputy speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assembly on plea of contempt of court for not taking oath on reserve seats.
According to the details, a two-member bench consisted on justice S.M Attique Shah and justice Syed Arshad Ali heard the plea regarding this matter.
However, the court sought response from speaker and deputy speaker provincial assembly on next hearing.
It is stated in the plea that the court had ordered to take oath from elected members on reserve seats. Despite courts’ orders the oath has not been taken. Speaker and deputy speaker violated the court’s orders.
It is pleaded in the petition from the court to act against speaker and deputy speaker of KP assembly.
