Accused arrested who allegedly raped child during Itikaf

Kot Addu: A person who allegedly molested a 13-year-old child observing Itikaf— an Islamic practice in isolation in a mosque or at home during Ramadan with the intention of solely dedicating your time to the worship of Allah—in Kot Addu area of Punjab was arrested.

According to the police, the accused of the incident in Sunawan was hiding at the house of relatives in Multan.

It is pertinent to note that the 28-year-old man observing Itikaf had allegedly molested the 13-year-old child who was also in Itikaf.

The victim told the police that the accused took him to his bed during the Itikaf and molested her. The accused put hand on his mouth due to which he could not make any sound.

A case of rape has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the victim's father.
