Traffic plan released as Iranian President to visit Lahore, Karachi today
Police stated that the ring road will be closed for all types of general traffic from 6:00am to 3:00pm today.
Lahore/Karachi: The Iranian President Dr. Syed Ibrahim Raisi, who is on three-day official visit to Pakistan, will Tuesday visit Lahore and Karachi. On the occasion of the arrival of the Iranian President, several roads will be closed in both cities, while traffic plans have been issued for the convenience of the public.
According to the police, several roads will be closed for general traffic on the occasion of the arrival of the President of Iran in Lahore today.
Police stated that the ring road will be closed for all types of general traffic from 6:00am to 3:00pm today. The traffic coming from outside Lahore will be diverted from Kala Shah Kaku.
On the other hand, many roads in Karachi will also be closed from 3:00pm to 5:00pm today.
According to the traffic police, Shahrah-e-Faisal will be completely closed for traffic on the occasion of the Iranian President's arrival in Karachi. The general public will not be able to use Shahrah Faisal from Gurmandir to Shahrah-e-Faisal.
The traffic police told that on the occasion of the visit of Iranian President, both tracks of MA Jinnah Road will also be completely closed from Gurmandir to Garden Chowk and Ziauddin Ahmed Road will also be closed from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
The traffic police has advised citizens to use the route of Qayyumabad, Korangi, Quaidabad and Malir Halt from Defense to the airport. While the traffic from Tower and Kemari to the airport will be able to use Lyari Expressway, Sohrab Goth, Malir Cantt and Model Colony routes. will be able to use
According to the traffic plan, those going to Sadar from the airport will be able to use the Model Colony, Jinnah Avenue, Safora Chorangi route. While those going to Sadar from Gurugram will be able to use the Lasbela Chowk, Nishtar Road, Albela Signal, Ramswamy and Civil Hospital route.
In the traffic plan released by the traffic police, citizens have been advised to use Jama Cloth exhibition Eid Gah, Garden Chowk, Aga Khan Swim Road and Zoo route.
It is pertinent to note that Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi, along with his wife and a high-level government and business delegation, has arrived in Pakistan on a three-day official visit, where they met President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Asim Munir and other important personalities.
On the occasion of the Iranian President's visit to Pakistan along with a high-level delegation, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have also been signed between the two countries on cooperation in various fields.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi also participated in the ceremony held at the Prime Minister's House, during which MoUs were signed between Pakistan and Iran in eight sectors.
A joint economic free zone between Pakistan and Iran was ratified while an MoU was signed on judicial matters in civil matters.
The Iranian President will visit Lahore and Karachi today, where he will also visit Mazar-e-Iqbal and Mazar-e-Quaid.
