Lahore: It rained with thunder in the early morning in various cities of Punjab including the provincial capital Lahore.
Some light and heavy rains were recorded in different cities of the province including Lahore. The areas of provincial capital i.e. Shimla Pahari, Laxmi Chowk, Gawalmandi, Qurtaba Chowk, Davies Road, Mall Road, Ichhra, Qainchi, Chungi Amar Sidhu, Gajumata, Islampura, Band Road, Anarkali, Shalamar Bagh, Model Town, Gulberg, Garden Town and other places were hit with thunder.
Apart from Lahore, Muridke, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Safdarabad, Jardanwala, Faisalabad, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh, Kamonki, Okara, Jhang, Bahawalpur, Renala Khurd, Kot Addu, Bhalwal, Kabirwala, Hafizabad, Manchanabad, Shorkot, Pakpattan and other cities experiences rain in the morning.
Due to the rain, the intensity of heat also faced a break. The weather became pleasant due to the strong winds that accompanied the rain. After which there was a wave of happiness among the citizens due to the change in the weather.
Water accumulated in the low-lying areas, while the citizens faced difficulties due to the power transmission system being affected at some places.
