Punjab considering to offer Incentives for vaccinated citizens
Punjab Minister For Primary & Secondary Healthcare in Punjab Dr Yasmin Rashid has asked citizens to not listen to rumours instead should get themselves vaccinated.
Talking to media in Lahore, the Punjab Health Minister said that various incentives were being considered for people who got vaccinated against COVID.
She stressed that at least 50 per cent of the 110 million people in the province need to be vaccinated.
Dr Yasmin Rashid added that Punjab’s target is to vaccinate 70 million people by the end of this year.
She said that the Corona positivity rate in Khanewal is 8% and in Vehari it is 10%, the situation in these districts is disturbing.
The provincial health minister said that coronavirus regulations and restrictions remain in place whereas the rate of positive cases in Lahore has come down to 1.3 per cent while in Punjab it has come down to 2 per cent.
Ms Rashid said that 180,000 people had been vaccinated in the last 24 hours and there was no shortage of coronavirus vaccine in the province.
In response to a question, she said that the Sharif brothers could not build a hospital in ten years where they could get their treatment, they always try to go out under the pretext of treatment.
Dr Yasmin Rashid said that next Friday there will be sermons on vaccines in mosques while following COVID SOPs.
She added that a complete lockdown was in place on Saturday and Sunday.
