Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,383 cases of coronavirus were reported while 53 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 21,376.
The NCOC stated that the positivity rate stands at 2.94%.
The total number of cases has reached 935,013.
As many as 867,447 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,196 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 342,805 in the province with 10,349 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 324,535 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,144.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 134,781 in the province with 4,164 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 25,893 confirmed cases while 290 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 19,538 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 556. On the other hand, there are 5,655 cases in GB with 107 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 81,806 cases in the capital city while 766 people have lost their lives.
