Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of IHC pronounced last week’s reserved decision after the parties completed their arguments

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday accepted Bushra Bibi's request and ordered her transfer to Adiala Jail.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of IHC pronounced last week’s reserved decision after the parties completed their arguments.
It is pertinent to note that Bushra Bibi had filed a petition for transfer from Bani Gala to Adiala Jail. The jail authorities took the stand before the court that she should not be transferred in jail due to lack of capacity and security issues.
Notably, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and the former first lady is serving imprisonment and penalty in the Tosha Khana reference and Illegal Marriage cases.
Earlier on April 16, the IHC rejected the request of Bushra Bibi, who was convicted in the Tosha Khana case, from Bani Gala sub-jail to Adiala Jail for non-compliance, while Justice Miangul remarked that the lawyers themselves do not want Bushra Bibi to go to jail.
Later on the same day, former Prime Minister Imran Khan's wife Bushra filed an appeal in the IHC regarding the transfer of sub-jail Bani Gala to Adiala Jail.
On April 18, the Court adjourned the hearing till April 22, reviving the dismissed petition of Bushra for non-compliance with her transfer.
