Division of civil courts, strike called today also
President High Court Bar Asad Manzoor Butt said that there will be a strike in the High Court on Friday as well
Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Bar Association has given a strike call today (Friday) also on the issue of division of civil courts.
A joint general house meeting of lawyers' organiastions was held at LHC Bar in which Vice Chairman Kamran Bashir Mughal and other lawyers including Ahsan Bhoon participated, during which police violence on Wednesday was condemned.
President High Court Bar Asad Manzoor Butt said that there will be a strike in the High Court on Friday as well, while he also demanded the government to release the funds for the bars.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of Punjab Bar Council (PBC) Kamran Bashir Mughal stated that the lawyers' rally was peaceful, the terrorism cases against lawyers should be withdrawn.
Apart from this, after the General House meeting, the lawyers also took out a rally from the court premises to GPO Chowk.
