NA session: Finance Minister to present reports today

Islamabad: The session of the National Assembly will be chaired by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Thursday where the Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will present various reports.

Finance Minister will present the half-year monitoring report on the implementation of the 7th NFC Award in the House, while the mid-year budget review report of the financial year 2023-24 will also be presented in the House.

Muhammad Aurangzeb will present the Fiscal Policy Statement for January 2024 and Debt Policy Statement for January 2024 in the House. He will also present the Monitoring Performance Report for the financial year 2022-23.

The Minister of Finance will present the accounts of appropriations of the government for the fiscal year 2020-21 and the Auditor General's audit reports of the federal accounts for the audit of the year 2021-22. In the same way the unspent accounts of the appropriations of the government for the year 2021-22 will also be presented.

It is pertinent to note that the debate on the motion of thanks on the President's address will continue in the House. A notice will be presented in the House to draw attention to the proposal to withdraw tax and duty exemptions in the former FATA and PATA.

During the session of the National Assembly, a notice will also be presented to draw attention to the gas shutdown in the old areas and villages of Karachi.
