Summer vacations announced in Sindh schools due to heatwave
The Sindh government has issued a notification for summer vacations across the province
Karachi: The Sindh government on Tuesday announced summer vacation 2024 for schools amid heatwave across the province.
The first holiday will be marked on June 1.
The Sindh Education Department also notified the summer vacations, making it clear that the vacations would continue till July 31 and the schools would reopen on August 1, 2024.
The rising temperature and forecast of heatwave led the Sindh government to make the said decision.

The summer vacations 2024 will start in Karachi schools from June 1 and will come to an end on July 31 like other parts of the province.
SUMMER VACATIONS 2024 IN PUNJAB
Earlier, the Punjab government had announced summer vacations starting from May 25 till May 31 amid heatwave in the province.
The government also issued a notification, saying that all the public and private schools would remain closed for seven days with effect in view of surge in temperature and heatwave in the province.
The schools, however, were allowed to conduct examination, with directions to ensure safety of the students through necessary recommendations.
Summer vacations usually commence from June 1, 2024 till August 14, 2024
