Islamabad: The federal government Wednesday revealed the arrest of missing poet and journalist Ahmed Farhad from Islamabad after 15 days.
The case related to the recovery of Poet Ahmad Farhad was heard by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Lawyer Iman Mazari appeared in the court on behalf of Farhar's wife, while the Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan appeared on behalf of the federal government.
During the hearing, Attorney General Mansoor Usman told the Court that Ahmed was arrested and in the custody of the Azad Kashmir Police.
The Attorney General also presented the report of Dhir Kot Azad Kashmir police station in the court.
It is pertinent to note that poet Ahmed Farhad went missing from the federal capital Islamabad 15 days ago. For his recovery, his wife Urooj Zainab filed an application in the IHC.
IHC had issued a deadline till Friday, May 24 for the recovery of poet, and the court had summoned the sector commanders of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI) on the previous hearing when Ahmed Farhad was not recovered on the deadline.
