The temperature could not drop below 50 degrees for a week in some districts of Sindh
Lahore: The heat wave Thursday continues in various cities of Punjab and Sindh.
In provincial capital Lahore, the sun began to shine in full splendor early in the morning, with a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 46 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the city will remain hot and dry throughout the day, with the wind speed recorded at 10 km per hour.
Weather forecasters say that the temperature is expected to reach 45 degrees in Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar, Sargodha, Jhelum in different cities of Punjab, while there is a possibility of rain in Lahore, Jhelum, Rawalpindi this evening.
On the other hand, the temperature could not drop below 50 degrees for a week in some districts of Sindh.
The meteorological department says that the temperature in Karachi may go up to 37 degrees Celsius, today the mercury is likely to remain between 48 and 50 degrees Celsius in Sukkur, Nawab Shah, Hyderabad, Dadu and Mohenjo Daro.
Meanwhile, the weather will remain warm in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while it will remain hot in the southern districts.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain at a few places with strong winds and thundershowers in Kohistan, Swat, Chitral, Abbottabad, Haripur and Mansehra.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the weather is likely to remain extremely hot in most of the districts of Balochistan. The maximum temperature was recorded at 51 degrees Celsius in Sibi, 35 degrees Celsius in Quetta, 31 degrees Celsius in Kalat, 43 degrees Celsius in Nokundi and 50 degrees Celsius in Turbat.
Rains and storm alert
Besides, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued an alert for rains and storm.
Chief Meteorologist Shahid Abbas said that there is a possibility of drizzle in the provincial capital Lahore for the next two days. Due to the increase in humidity in the air, there will be a series of rains. The temperature will drop by three to four degrees Celsius due to light rain.
Shahid Abbas said that no stream of western winds is entering Punjab, the heat has reached its peak, and now the temperature will gradually decrease.
