Islamabad: The head of Pakistan Polio Program, Dr Shahzad Baig, resigned on Friday.
According to the details, Dr Shahzad Baig has resigned from the post of National Coordinator for Polio citing personal reasons.
According to reports, the government had decided to bring government officials for the polio program a few days ago while Dr. Shahzad was facing severe criticism for the spread of polio in Pakistan.
So far in Pakistan, polio has been confirmed in 153 environmental samples of 39 districts, while three children have been affected by polio in the country so far.
