The prosecutor FIA requested the court that the accused should be investigated further

Karachi: The Judicial Magistrate East rejected the bail plea of social activist Sarim Burney, arrested in the case of human trafficking and fraud.
During the hearing in the city court, the prosecutor of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said that the accused Sarim Burney is lying everywhere. The accused had said that the parents of the girl named Haya left her willingly. While, Haya's mother said that Sarim refused to give her daughter.
The prosecutor FIA requested the court that the accused should be investigated further and hence the bail should not be granted as he is accused of trafficking more than 20 children.
On the other hand, Sarim's lawyer said that the girl was given for adoption in a completely legal manner. The accused has all the evidence regarding giving the girl for adoption. While FIA failed to present evidence against the accused. Therefore, by accepting the bail application of Sarim, he should be dismissed from the case.
After hearing the arguments of the parties, the court rejected the bail application of Sarim Burney.
In the last hearing, social activist Sarim Burney was produced before the court after a two-day physical remand on the charge of child trafficking.
It is pertinent to note that a few days ago the anti-human and trafficking team of FIA detained the social leader from Karachi Airport.
