The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Saturday arrested Syed Farrukh Ahmed Shah, the son of Pakistan Peoples Party leader and MNA Syed Khursheed Shah from the premises of a Sukkur accountability court.

Farrukh Shah, who is MPA from Sindh, had recently filed a request with the Supreme Court for pre-arrest bail in an ongoing probe into possession of assets beyond known sources of income.
The request was later withdrawn and the Supreme Court had ordered Farrukh to surrender before the Sukkur court in three-day time.
In compliance with the apex court's order, Farrukh surrendered before the accountability court today. Farrukh was taken to NAB's office following the arrest.
NAB said it would seek a 15-day remand for Farrukh's custody.
Syed Farrukh's arrested followed his father who was taken into custody by NAB in September 2019 to probe his assests.
On June 4, he withdrew his bail plea from the Supreme Court and preferred to remain in jail.
