Czech Barbora Krejcikova claimed her maiden Grand Slam title when she beat Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the French Open women's final on Saturday.

The 25-year-old is the first Czech to lift the Suzanne Lenglen Cup since Hana Mandlikova, who represented Czechoslovakia, triumphed in 1981.
Krejcikova won six games in a row to take the opening set after dropping serve in the first before Pavlyuchenkova gained the upper hand in the second set.
The Russian had her left thigh taped at 5-2 but served it out to level at one-set, all before Krejcikova broke decisively for 4-3 in the decider to extend her winning streak on clay to 12 matches.
Earlier, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic produced an enthralling show that left all watching the epic clash in Men Semi-Final at the French Open spellbound.
Defending champion Nadal was finally defeated at Roland Garros—his third loss in 108 matches in Paris over 16 years.
The Serbian World No.1 won the epic 4-hour 11-minute 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7/4), 6-2 to reach the final of the French Open where he will face Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Nadal has only lost three times in 108 matches since his title-winning debut in 2005.
Djokovic, the 2016 champion, said it was his best win in Paris and ranked it among his "three greatest" ever performances.
He broke the Spaniard eight times from 22 breakpoints and fired 50 winners.
A weary Nadal committed 55 unforced errors.
Fans from across the globe tipped their hats to Djokovic and Nadal for their stunning display of tennis.
