Lahore: Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated with religious fervor across the country today (Monday).

Eid prayer gatherings are being organised in small and big cities of the country. Eid prayers were offered in the Sabeel Wali Mosque of Karachi, Jamia Naeemia Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, Eid Gah Ground in Peshawar and Shah Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.

On this occasion, prayers were offered for the safety of the country and the nation, and special prayers were also offered for the Muslims of Gaza. While following the tradition of Ibrahimi, animals are being sacrificed.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), including the heads of the three armed forces, congratulated the nation.

President, Prime Minister Message 

In his message, President Asif Zardari said that in trials and tests, one should remain firm, and the whole nation should be devoted to brotherhood, sacrifice, love, and sincerity and help the needy.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated in his Eid message that those people who cannot afford to sacrifice should also be taken care of on Eid.

He added that the great sacrifices of the oppressed Muslims of Palestine and Occupied Kashmir should also be remembered.

The Prime Minister further said in his message that Palestinians and Kashmiris are standing like an iron wall in the face of oppression and brutality.

Chiefs of Armed Forces Message

The Armed Forces, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs have also extended Eid-ul-Adha greetings to all Pakistanis.

According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), in their message on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the chiefs of the armed forces said that this holy day inspires the spirit of sacrifice for good.

In their message, the chiefs of the armed forces stated that on this day they pay tribute to the eternal sacrifices of the martyrs. May Allah protect Pakistan from the nefarious intentions of the enemies.
