She added that the purpose of sacrifice is to create a spirit of self-sacrifice in Muslims

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Monday said that she prays to Allah Almighty to avert every difficulty of the Muslim Ummah through the charity of millions of sacrifices.
While congratulating on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, Maryam Nawaz stated: “May Allah accept the sacrifices made on the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS)”.
She added that Eid-ul-Adha is a memorial of the submission and satisfaction of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS). The purpose of sacrifice is to create a spirit of self-sacrifice in Muslims. I pray that every person of the holy land will be blessed with peace, prosperity and health.
The Chief Minister of Punjab further said that may Allah protect every Palestinian in Gaza and grant lasting peace to Palestine. ‘I pray to Allah to help and protect every oppressed in the world including Kashmir’.
