The government has directed social media influencers to seek licenses for marketing

Dubai: Abu Dhabi has introduced a new law for social media influencers.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development announced the new law that social media influencers will now have to get a license which will cost 1,250 dirhams. While the license fee for social media marketing companies will be 5,000 dirhams.
According to the announcement, fines will be imposed on organisations providing advertising services without a license and social media influencers will be fined 10,000 dirhams for violation from July 1.
