Kohlu: In an unfortunate incident, three people were killed while two others sustained serious injuries in lightning strikes triggered by a thunderstorm in Kohlu.
Strong winds accompanied by lightning strikes hit the area of the district around 3 pm, killing three persons.
Rescue teams and police reached the spot after getting information and shifted the deceased and injured to a nearby hospital.
Those killed has not been identified yet.
Several parts of Pakistan received first pre-Monsoon rain Sunday after a long drought spell across the country bringing a respite from heat wave.
According to Met office, more rain-wind and thundershower is expected in upper and central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Kashmir in next 12 hours. Isolated heavy falls and hailstorm are also likely during the period.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is expected in other parts of the country.
