Jeddah: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, temporarily closed the Budaiya Mosque in Abu Arish governorate after it was confirmed that its iman contracted coronavirus.

The mosque will open and receive worshippers at a later date and field teams are undertaking preventative measures including sterilization operations and comprehensive maintenance measures.
The ministry further highlighted its role in regulating and reporting mosques that did not comply with COVID-19 related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), keeping the keenness of worshippers in mind.
