Riyadh: Sheikh Saleh Al-Shaiba, the key-bearer (guardian of the key) of the Holy Kaaba, passed away on Saturday.
The confirmation of Sheikh Saleh Al-Shaiba's passing has been made by the Saudi media.
According to Haramain's X account, Sheikh Saleh Al-Shaiba's funeral prayer will be held tomorrow after Fajr at the Masjid al-Haram, and he would be buried in the Al-Mu'alla Cemetery in Mecca.

The reports suggest that the key of the Holy Kaaba does not change even when its door is replaced, and according to the will of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the next key-bearer of the Holy Kaaba would also be from the Al-Shaibi family and would remain so.
