Chasing a target of 197 runs, Bangladesh could only score 146 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs
Florida: India on Saturday beat Bangladesh by 50 runs in a thrilling match of the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024.
In the match played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field first against India.
Batting first, India scored 196 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Hardik Pandya played an unbeaten innings of 50 runs.
Virat Kohli scored 37 runs, Rishabh Pant made 36, Shivam Dube scored 34, and Rohit Sharma was out for 23 runs. Suryakumar Yadav managed 6 runs, while Axar Patel remained not out with 3 runs.
For Bangladesh, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rishad Hossain took 2 wickets each, and Shakib Al Hasan claimed one wicket.
Chasing a target of 197 runs, Bangladesh could only score 146 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 40 runs, Tanzid Hasan made 29, and Rishad Hossain scored 24 runs.
From India's side, Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets, Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets each, while Hardik Pandya claimed one wicket.
