PML-N, PPP MPAs meet Punjab Chief Minister

More than 10 members of the Punjab Assembly from opposition parties Pakistani Muslim League (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) called on Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

Among those who met were MPAs Jalil Sharqpuri, Chaudhry Ashraf Ansari, Mohammad Ghiasuddin, Mohammad Faisal Khan Niazi, Raees Nabil Ahmed, Anzafar Abbas and Azhar Abbas Chandia.

Syed Abbas Ali, Tahir Bashir Cheema, Younis Ansari and Masood Majeed were also present in the meeting.

The elected representatives apprised the Punjab Chief Minister of the problems of the constituencies and areas on which the Punjab ruler assured to resolve the problems of the members of the Assembly.

On the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar said that his doors are open for all, the new budget of Punjab will create a new chapter of development and prosperity for the people, more funds will be set aside for education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and other sectors.

CM Buzdar said that a separate development package has been prepared for each district, the negative politics of conspirators have been buried forever, there is no room for corruption and corrupt elements in Pakistan.

It may be recalled that the budget will be presented in the Punjab Assembly tomorrow before which this is an important meeting of the opposition members of the Assembly.

The Punjab government to present a Rs2,600 billion budget for the next financial year 2021-2022 in the Punjab Assembly on (Monday) June 14.

According to the details, Punjab Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht will present the budget. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has summoned a special session of the cabinet ahead of the budget.

Sources privy to the matter said that the special meeting of the Punjab cabinet will approve the budget proposals for the upcoming fiscal year.

The cabinet meeting will also give its nod to the revised budget estimates.

Provincial ministers, advisors, special assistants, chief secretary and concerned secretaries will attend the session.

According to sources, in the Rs2,600 billion FY2021-22 budget, no new taxes would be imposed while Rs550 billion has been proposed for development program in the province.
